Leipzig is Germany's tenth most populous city and located on the confluence of the White Elster, Pleiße and Parthe rivers at the southern end of the North German Plain. It is a trade city since the time of the Holy Roman Empire located at the intersection of the Via Regia and the Via Imperii, two important medieval trade routes. Leipzig was once one of the major European centers of learning and culture in fields such as music and publishing. Leipzig is being termed as a Gamma World City and the European City of the Year 2019.
The city is a location for automobile manufacturing by BMW and Porsche in large plants north of the city. Many a companies are located in Germany and being involved into a number of activities.
